Series: Tell Somebody
Walking in Spiritual Power and Authority
Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I’ve fallen short. I’ve sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe that You lived, died, and rose again so that I could be connected to God. I confess you as my Lord and personal Savior. I give you my past, present, and future. Take my life and use it. I give it to You. Thank You for saving me. Amen.Tell Us Your Story

Main Idea
Have you ever felt powerless in your spiritual life, like your prayers hit the ceiling or the enemy has the upper hand? The truth is, if you’re a follower of Jesus, you’ve been given spiritual power and authority. But here’s the catch: authority only works if you know you have it and if you know how to walk in it. God doesn’t just want us to survive spiritual battles; He wants us to stand strong and advance His Kingdom with boldness.
When we walk in alignment submitted to God, connected to His Word, in right relationship with leaders, and obedient to His will we walk in real, tangible authority that can change lives, tear down strongholds, and push back darkness. The enemy knows who’s truly walking in authority and he backs down when we stand firm in the name of Jesus.
Scripture
Matthew 28:18-19
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Luke 4: 1-4
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted[a] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’

Moving Forward
God has already given us everything we need to walk in spiritual power and authority. Our part is to stay aligned submitted to His Word, obedient to His will, and connected to His presence. Don’t shrink back when opposition rises. Stand, speak, and walk in the authority you’ve been given. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you.
