No More Fear

The Main Idea

We’ve all faced moments when fear paralyzes us. It whispers lies like, You’re not good enough or You’re going to fail. Yet, the Bible reminds us that God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and self-discipline. What if this year could be the one where you fully embrace God’s call, using the gifts He’s given you, and conquering fear with faith?

As we prepare for 2025, let’s reflect on how to overcome fear, stir up the gifts God has placed in us, and boldly step into His plans. The time is now.

Scriptures

2 Timothy 1:1-7

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

² To Timothy, my dear son:

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thanksgiving

³ I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. ⁴ Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. ⁵ I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

Appeal for Loyalty to Paul and the Gospel

⁶ For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. ⁷ For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

1 Peter 5:6-7 (NIV):

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

• What is one gift or talent you feel God has placed in you? How can you “fan it into flame” in 2025 to bless others?

Moving Forward

Fear can no longer be our excuse. As we enter 2025, let’s boldly step into God’s calling, trust in His power, and use our gifts to glorify Him. Write down one fear you want to surrender to God, and take a practical step this week to use your gifts for His purpose.

Todos hemos enfrentado momentos en los que el temor nos paraliza. Susurra mentiras como No eres suficiente o Vas a fallar.
