Main Idea
What you wear is a reminder of where you are. Through the use of the armor of God described in Ephesians 6:10-18, one can protect themselves from spiritual attacks and live a victorious life.

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

- Share a time when you had to defend yourself or protect yourself in some way. How did it make you feel and what did you learn from it? It doesn’t have to be something spiritual but just in general.
- Pastor read a quote that said, “If you want to see evidence of the demonic, you won’t find it by looking through a microscope but by looking in the rearview mirror of your life.” Do you agree or disagree
- Read Ephesians 6:10-18 – What stands out to you when you read it for the first time?
- How does putting on the full armor of God daily change our perspective on the spiritual battles we face?
- Can you think of a time when you felt particularly vulnerable to spiritual attack? How could you have better prepared yourself with the armor of God in that situation?
- Which of the armor pieces (shoes, shield, sword) do you need to use more than the others?
- How can we remember to put on the full armor of God each day?
- How can we help others in our community to put on the full armor of God?
- How can we use the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, in our daily lives?
